OutREACH Cumbria (ORC)

OutREACH Cumbria is a new strategic LGBT partner, working with the statutory and voluntary sector around lesbian,gay, bisexual and transgender equaltiy issues. ORC provides input to organisations Euqaltiy Impact Assessments, they also work with other equality partners to design, develop and deliver equality training.

ORC wishes to conect with LGBT people in Cumbria, to explore the issues affecting LGBT people and to look at supporting the development of LGBT groups, projects and other initiatives, as part of the work it is doing with Cumbria Equality and Resource Centre (CERC), around capacity building and developing the infrastructure in Cumbria.

Currently OutREACH Cumbria does not run any LGBT groups, this is something ORC is keen to explore with members of the LGBT community. OutREACH Cumbria will be identifying what support groups or projects exist in Cumbria working withand organised by LGBT people, as part of the work mentioned in the previous paragraph.
